Adults with HIV-1 Virus Infection are asked to participate in a research study being conducted by North Shore University Hospital.

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

• Are age 18 years or older
• Have a life expectancy of at least a year
• No prior use of any approved or investigational antiretroviral drug for any length of time

You may not participate in this study if you:

• Are a female who is pregnant or breast feeding
• Have an implanted defibrillator or pacemaker
• Are experiencing decompensated cirrhosis (severe liver disease)
• Have an excessive alcohol, drug or substance abuse
