Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria (PNH)

People with Paroxysmal Nocturnal Hemoglobinuria (PNH) are asked to participate in a research study being conducted by the Montefiore Medical Center.

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

  • Are at least ≥ 18 years of age
  • Are diagnosed with PNH
  • Have mean hemoglobin level ≥10 g/dL

You may not participate in this study if you:

  • Have required RBC transfusion in the 6 months prior to screening
  • Have known or suspected hereditary complement deficiency at screening
  • Have a history of hematopoietic stem cell transplantation or solid organ transplantation
  • Are diagnosed with laboratory evidence of bone marrow failure
  • Have active systemic bacterial, viral, or fungal infection within 14 days prior to study
  • Have a history of malignancy of any organ system within the past 5 years
  • Have received any immunosuppressants for at least 8 weeks prior to screening
  • Have participated in an investigational drug trial within 30 days
  • Are known to be positive for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), hepatitis B, or C
  • Are pregnant, breast feeding or planning to become pregnant
