Dual Diagnosis of Migraine and Medication Overuse Headache

People with a dual diagnosis of migraine and medication overuse headache are asked to participate in a research study being conducted by Montefiore Medical Center.

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

• Are at least ≥ 18 and ≤ 75 years of age
• Have a confirmed diagnosis of CM or MOH
• Have a normal ECG at the screening visit
• Have ≥ 8 migraine days per month for each month within past 3 months
• Have ≥ 15 headache days per month for each month within past 3 months

You may not participate in this study if you:

• Have a history of treatment failure with a previous preventive treatment
• Are diagnosed with acute or active temporomandibular disorders
• Have confounding and clinically significant pain syndromes
• Have a history of cancer, other than basal cell
• Have a clinically significant cardiovascular disease or thromboembolic event
• Have a history of moderate or severe head trauma or other neurological disorder
• Are known to be positive for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), hepatitis B, or C
• Are pregnant, breast feeding or planning to become pregnant
