Lower-risk Myelodysplastic Syndromes
People with lower-risk myelodysplastic syndromes (LR MDS) who are refractory/resistant to prior therapies are asked to participate in a research study being conducted by Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai.
You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:
• Are at least ≥ 18 years of age
• Have a confirmed diagnosis of MDS
• Have adequate hepatic and renal function
You may not participate in this study if you:
• Have clinically significant anemia
• Are diagnosed with chronic myelomonocytic leukemia
• Are documented with iron deficiency
• Have a history of uncontrolled seizures
• Have current or previous bone marrow blasts > 5%
• Have a history of an active malignancy within the past 2 years
• Have received radiation therapy, chemotherapy and/or immunotherapy
• Have history of active infection with COVID-19 within 14 days
• Are known to be positive for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), hepatitis B, or C
• Are pregnant, breast feeding or planning to become pregnant
