PRISM-4 Recurrent Clostridioides difficile Infection
People with clostridioides difficile infection are asked to participate in a research study being conducted by Montefiore Medical Center.
You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:
• Are at least 18 years of age
• Have history of recurrent CDI
• Have history of diarrhea
• Have received a course of SOC CDI antibiotics for the most recent CDI episode
• Have demonstrated an adequate clinical response
You may NOT participate in this study if you:
• Have known stool samples testing positive for enteric pathogens
• Have active or suspected ileus, toxic megacolon, or bowel obstruction
• Have recent diagnosis of diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome
• Have current diagnosis of chronic diarrheal illness with pre-CDI baseline diarrhea
• Have had past administration of bezlotoxumab (Zinplava™), or past enrollment in a C. difficile vaccine trial
• Have had major intra-abdominal surgery within the past 60 days
• Have initiation of any systemic cancer treatment
• Have known immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection
• Are pregnant or breastfeeding
