Relapsed/Refractory Acute Myeloid Leukemia
People with relapsed/refractory acute myeloid leukemia (AML) or high-risk myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) are asked to participate in a research study being conducted by the Montefiore Medical Center.
You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:
• Are at least ≥ 18 years of age
• Have a confirmed diagnosis of AML or MDS
• Have adequate organ function, including renal and hepatic function
You may not participate in this study if you:
• Have acute promyelocytic leukemia
• Have active malignant tumors other than AML/MDS
• Have any sign of active CNS pathology within 6 months
• Have hyperleukocytosis or rapidly progressive disease
• Have cardiovascular disease or autoimmune disease
• Have active systemic fungal, bacterial, viral, or other infection
• Have any history of pulmonary embolism (PE) ever or deep vein thrombosis (DVT)
• Have a treatment with an investigational gene or chimeric antigen receptor therapy
• Are known to be positive for human immunodeficiency virus (HIV), hepatitis B, or C
• Are pregnant, breast feeding or planning to become pregnant
