The PRESENCE Study (HBEH) Study

People with Parkinson’s Disease Dementia are asked to participate in a research study being conducted by New York University School of Medicine.

Are you eligible to participate in this study?

You may be eligible for this study if you meet the following criteria:

  • Conditions: Parkinson’s Disease
  • Age: Between 40 – 85 Years
  • Gender: Male or Female

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you: 

  • Are male or female 40-85 years of age
  • Have a diagnosis of idiopathic Parkinson’s Disease with at least 2 years of PD symptoms
  • Have dementia as defined by a decline in cognitive function

You may not participate in this study if you:

  • Have a history in the last 6 months of transient ischemic attacks or ischemic stroke
  • Have a history of hypertensive encephalopathy
  • Have a current or any previous diagnosis of bipolar disorder, schizophrenia or other primary psychotic disorder
